Songs Of The Sea is a new Shanty Festival running alongside the folk festival in June with some of the UK's best shanty singers and groups.

Introducing a night of Comedy to this year's folk festival comes with great pleasure, and we are thrilled to welcome Welsh comic Noel James. Joining Noel is resident comic-folk-band of the festival, Polly Morris, who will take you on a whirlwind trip of supermarket shopping and the perils of e-mail.

Ahoy shipmates! Songs Of The Sea is a new addition to the folk, family, fun weekend of Wimborne Minster Folk Festival, which will take place on the Saturday of the festival in June.
The new Shanty Festival will see performances from: The Roaring Trowmen, Jim Radford, Exmouth Shanty Men (pictured), Portsmouth Shanty Men, The Harry Browns, Shropshire Boatmen and Wareham Whalers.

Good news! After high demand from previous years we are now able to take on artisan traders at the festival, who will be located in the beautiful Wimborne Model Town.
Pitch fees for artisan traders are set to just £50 for both Saturday & Sunday at the festival and applications are open online now at the link below. We very much look forward to welcoming artisan trade stands to the festival on 9, 10, 11 June 2017.

The trade application deadline has been extended until 31 December 2016, to allow for a more diverse range of traders wishing to attend the 2017 festival.
