Combining original material with their own take on some traditional tunes, this Wiltshire-based duo of multi-instrumentalists delivers an eclectic mix of songs and instrumentals using a variety of instruments, live looping, and good humour to ensure the audience is always left wanting more. Their sound is full, vibrant, and full of life. They are ready to make their mark on the world of British folk music.
Antoine and Owena met at a gig where they were both performing. They were both instantly impressed with each others talents, and it wasn't long before they began jamming together and writing music.
Prior to this, both have extensive musical backgrounds and have been writing and performing in different guises over a number of years.
Antoine has performed in several bands of varying styles, including rock and progressive music, but found his home in the world of folk and traditional music. During his time performing in bands, Antoine has supported the likes of Alabama 3, and indie sensations Blackbud. After venturing into folk music, Antoine began writing and performing solo, focusing on original folk inspired songs and traditional music. He has supported some established folk acts, including Ellie Lawson, and Ian W Brown. Antoine has also performed at a variety of festivals both as a solo artist and in various bands.
Owena Archer has played on the folk scene for over twenty years, composing her own folk tunes and playing harmonising fiddle parts in various successful folk bands. She has shared stages with the likes of the Oysterband, Show of Hands, Megson, Nancy Kerr & James Fagan and Cara Dillon & Sam Lakeman. Owena has also played numerous folk festivals as well as guesting at several folk clubs.
