Coming on Saturday and Sunday
Spawned from the coal mines of South Middlesex in 1994, Thrales Rapper have developed their own unique form of London "knife crime". The club has a simple creed: Go fast, turn left, don't let go; Don't eat fruit (except in pies); Commit No Nuisance. The founding fathers of Thrales practiced in the Anchor pub in Southwark. The pub had once been part of Thrale & Co., a brewery owned by Henry and Hester Thrale (and later by Courage) which dominated Southwark until the 1980s. The First 9 sharpened their rapper skills in the Thrale Room for weeks under the watchful but silent gaze of Mrs Thrale. Our patron decided, the choice of team name was simple.
