The Courtiers are a Portsmouth based four piece acoustic folk band. They draw on traditional music influences from both sides of the Atlantic to create a lively and eclectic mix of foot-stomping sounds. Regulars within their local folk scene and various festivals, they are known for their energy, musicianship and entertaining banter (not to mention their secret weapon, the foot-based percussive wizardry that leaves audiences both tapping their feet and scratching their heads!) The first official Coutiers CD release, First Set is a 50 minute live album, recorded at the Wheatsheaf Arms, Shedfield in October 2019. You can find out how to get your copy by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org Lineup: Deborah Gatland – Fiddle Tim Gay – Flute, whistles Simon Cattermole – Bouzouki, 5-string banjo, vocals Chris Gatland – Guitar, percussion, vocals.
